I think perhaps what we need to do is give them something to see.
Show them how cool we are ^_~
Perhaps if we go ahead with the ideas, and let them know what we're about, they may be inspired to join.
Let them know we're really going to go for this project.
So to really sum up what I said...
Start a bit of the project...
Them give them eye-candy ^.^
